Jonny Ka Chun Chan (he/him) is a thoughtful and experienced Clinical Psychologist who provides compassionate care to individuals from diverse backgrounds. He is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their concerns and work toward meaningful change.
Jonny’s primary approach is to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals, informed by a thorough assessment and research. He works collaboratively with clients to ensure their therapy is both effective and meaningful.
Jonny works with clients across the lifespan and has experience addressing a wide range of challenges, including trauma, depression, anxiety, personality vulnerabilities, psychosis and other cultural or interpersonal difficulties. He has a special interest in supporting neurodiverse individuals, including those with ADHD or autistic traits, and likes to provide strategies while also utilising and recognising each person’s own strengths. Additionally, Jonny has a particular interest in working with individuals exploring aspects of sexuality and gender identity.
Jonny draws from evidence-based approaches, including CBT, Family therapy, Gottman Couple Counselling, ACT, DBT, IPT, and Schema Therapy, tailoring interventions to meet each client’s needs. As a Board-approved supervisor, Jonny also enjoys supporting provisional psychologists in their professional growth.
